This policy outlines how Castle addresses copyright infringement claims, the process for contesting improper content removal, and how to contact us for copyright-related matters regarding the Service.

1. Service Nature & Copyright Compliance

Castle acts solely as an intermediary between users and third-party content providers—we do not host, store, or own any copyrighted material accessible on the app. We prioritize copyright protection and take proactive action to crack down on the unauthorized sharing of protected works, ensuring our platform remains compliant with all applicable copyright laws and guidelines.

2. Copyright Infringement Notice Requirements

If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative and believe your work has been misused on Castle, you must submit a complete, written infringement notice (incomplete notices will not be reviewed). Your notice must include the following five key elements:

A detailed identification of the infringed copyrighted work (e.g., title, author, original publication date; a representative list if multiple works are included in one notice).

Exact details of where the infringement appears on Castle, including the content’s category, the infringing material’s name, screenshots, or other sufficient identifying information.

Your full contact information: legal name, physical address, and a valid phone number for direct communication.

A written statement confirming you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

A written statement affirming all provided information is accurate, and that your content is being used on Castle without your explicit authorization.

3. Infringement Notice Processing & Enforcement

Upon receipt of a thorough, legally sufficient infringement notice, our team will:

Acknowledge receipt of your notice via written response within 48 hours;

Initiate an immediate investigation into the alleged infringement;

Remove or disable access to the infringing content within 72 hours of verifying the violation.

We reserve the unconditional right to permanently disable Castle access for repeat copyright infringers—no prior warning is required. This enforcement is in place to protect the integrity of our platform and ensure a legal, secure streaming experience for all users.

4. Counter-Notice Procedure for Improper Removal

If you believe your content was improperly removed or access to it was disabled in error, you may submit a formal counter-notice via email. The counter-notice must contain the following mandatory information:

Your full, valid contact information (name, address, phone number, email);

A clear, detailed description of the content that was removed, and its exact location on Castle prior to removal;

A statement made under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed incorrectly;

A statement consenting to the exclusive jurisdiction of Indian courts for any disputes arising from the takedown, and acknowledging your willingness to accept legal service of process from the original copyright claimant if they initiate a lawsuit.

5. Counter-Notice Review & Content Reinstatement

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward the notice to the original copyright claimant who filed the infringement request. If the claimant does not file a lawsuit against you within 14 business days of receiving the counter-notice, Castle will reinstate the disputed content on the platform.

Castle is not liable for accidental copyright infringement by third-party content providers. We do not monitor all content in real time (due to the volume of material on the platform), but we always follow up on legitimate copyright reports as promptly as possible. By using Castle (on any Android 6.0+ device), you agree not to publish, distribute, or reproduce any copyrighted material on the platform without the copyright owner’s written permission or formal written agreement.
